Special Needs Ferrets

Snaggle, the dark eyed white, and Howard, the sable, came to us from Town Lake Animal Center where they were turned in as strays. Since they were turned in together and appear to be bonded, we assume they came from the same home. Both boys are about 6 years old.

Snaggle has a deformed front lower canine tooth, but it doesn’t appear to bother him. Howard has been diagnosed with insulinoma. He will be on medication and a special high protein, high fat diet for the reminder of his life. Due to the advanced age of this pair and Howard’s medical condition, it is very likely these boys will remain with us until they cross over to the Rainbow Bridge.
